Puerto Morelos

Part of Benito Juarez municipal district, the tranquil fishing village of Puerto Morelos boasts several fine beaches , a pristine coral reef which is now a national park , the Crococun Park ( a Crocodile's farm ) and Alfredo Barrera Marin Botanical Garden. Puerto Morelos is the departure point for the car ferry to Cozumel.

Playa del Carmen

Departure point for passenger ferries to Cozumel , Playa del Carmen is a beachfront town with a vibrant atmosphere. Its main street, Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue) is a mix of open-air restaurants , bars, colorful craft shops and small hotels. The Playacar resort complex is the site of a golf course and the Xaman-Ha aviary.

Puerto Aventuras

Akumal

A lovely resort of small hotels , condos and vacation homes, clustered on the shores of two sheltered bays, Akumal ("place of the turtles" in Maya) offers its visitors wide beaches and pristine offshore reefs. The Yalk Lagoon inlet lies to the north of the village and is a popular snorkeling spot. Nearby beaches include Kantenah and Xcacel.

Aktun Chen

A spectacular 600-meter-long cave system deep in a 400-hectare jungle park inhabited by spider monkeys and whitetail deer. Natural Caves with lovely views of the clear waters inside the tunnels, or narrow paths to cross the place.
