, Starting from Los Cabos International airport which is located 7 miles north of San Jose del Cabo and Club Solaris Cabos is two and a half hours from Los Angeles, Houston, and Phoenix, and four hours from Seattle. Commercial airlines serving Los Cabos are: Aero California, Aero Mexico, Alaska Airlines, America West, American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Mexicana.

Weather
With a semi-tropical desert climate, Los Cabos has ideal weather and clear, sunny skies. Average air temperatures are 50 to 80 F. (19-26.7 C.) from November to April and 70 to 95 F. (21-35 C.) from May to October. Average annual rainfall is 5 to 10 inches (12.7 to 24 cm), most falling in September. The coolest months are December and January. Water temperature, even in the winter,a temperature of 75 F (23.8 C) average.

Currency
The official currency is the Mexican Peso. Exchange rates are posted at the Club Solaris Cabos front desk. U.S. dollars are widely accepted, but in some stores the rate of exchange will be less than an ATM or money exchange booth. ATMs are easily found, and both towns have American Express offices. Banks are open weekdays from around 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; with some open extended hours and Saturdays. Banks are closed Sundays and Mexican national holidays.

Consulates
Consulate offices are generally open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 or 2:00 p.m. The Canadian Consulate office is in San Jose del Cabo, call (624) 142-4333. The U.S. Consulate is in Cabo San Lucas, call (624) 143-3566.

Language
Spanish is Mexico's official language but English is widely spoken in Los Cabos. Knowing a few Spanish words like please (por favor) and thank you (gracias) will surely bring a smile.

Safety
Many travelers worry about their safety in Mexico. Los Cabos has a very low crime rate and is safe compared to larger, more urban areas in the U.S. and Canada. Use common sense and keep valuables in a safe place and keep rental cars locked at all times.

Medical Services & Emergencies
Club Solaris has on-site medical services. The office is staffed from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. In the event of an accident, medical, or dental emergency contact Guest Services for immediate assistance. Medical service fees are not complimentary.

Time Zone
Los Cabos and Baja California Sur are located within the Mountain Time Zone. The time changes here whenever Daylight Savings Time changes.

Water

Club Solaris Cabos and all major hotels and restaurants in Los Cabos use purified water. When in doubt ask for bottled water.
