Google’s April fools joke

I almost fell for this year’s April fools joke from the guys of Google. On their blog they announced the new 8-bit version of Google Maps for the old NES system, the first game launched in 18 years. Of course this is a joke but anyway you can take a look on how would have been to have this fantastic tool back then.

Google Maps for NES

You can see the original post from Google’s blog here. I went and check the online version which is really interesting and amazingly it works! Look, I found the Royal Solaris Resorts in 8-Bits! I just brought back the memories of my childhood.

Los Cabos, in South Baja California, is well known for being a natural paradise with beautiful landscapes and countless marine species. Its geographic location turn Los Cabos into a privileged destination, the water of its seas comes from both the vast Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez and each year, the seas of Los Cabos are host of wonderful creatures of this planet: the gray whales.

These annual events are a show of natural beauty and color. Hailing from the frigid waters of the Arctic Ocean in a long and tiring journey to the Mexican coast, gray whales come to our quiet and peaceful beaches.

With more than 15 meters long and nearly 40-ton weight, gray whale gets from this enormous sanctuary a nutritional varied buffet. Gray whales feed primarily on seaweed, shrimp, plankton and other species.
The arrival of this monumental whale is mainly due to mate or give birth to their young. It should be noted that their gestation period is 12 months.
This show attracts both tourists and spectators where they can interact closely with them in small boats, where they can also witness their huge jumps and beautiful sightings in groups and families.

Lon & Sandy Golnick at Royal Solaris Los Cabos

In this vacation workshop in Los Cabos, you get a truly unique opportunity to create a whole new view of yourselves in relationship – a view that transcends the way people commonly understand and participate in their relationships. And you get to do it in a beautiful resort setting!

This unique Los Cabos Convention provides:

  • A recognition of the causes of frustration, indifference and estrangement in relationships.
  • Insight into why trying to change your partners, yourself or your relationships is ultimately futile.
  • A simple yet uncommon approach to designing extraordinary relationships.

What we will do in this Los Cabos Conference:

In a group of about six twosomes, we explore distinctions between ordinary and extraordinary relationships. Unique questions, conversations and exercises illuminate the unusual character of extraordinary relationships. And you design your own entry into the world of extraordinary relationships.

Throughout this kind of Vacation workshops in Los Cabos we have found that people’s ordinary view of relationships and families is fraught with pitfalls that destine them to misunderstandings, upsets and breakups. In our work, myths and fantasies are exploded, the truth is told and experience is validated.

You will discover new foundations for being related and being partners. You will begin to reinvent your relationships and families with new insight and understanding. Upsets and frustrations disappear. Adventure and enthusiasm emerge.

Testimonials of a workshop in Los Cabos:

“Being with Sandy & Lon Golnick makes it almost impossible to settle for the ordinary world of off-and-on connection, suppressed or vented disappointments, and accepting “good enough” as, well, good enough. They take couples and families on an exploration of what we think and what we expect about our relationships, and they skillfully turn dozens of our ideas upside-down. You wouldn’t let just anybody dismantle your complacency this way: you know from beginning to end that Sandy & Lon are doing it with deep authenticity and out of their radiant love of people.”
Paul Bennett

“… I am committed to being honest with them. This workshop was a great experience. Both of you are such an inspiration and so generous.”   Renee Bakhshandeh

It’s a great course, well planned with lots of insights to help raise my family. I would recommend this course to anyone with no reservations.“            Ty Evans

This amazing Los Cabos Convention will take place from November 5th to 12th, 2011 with a cost of $995usd per twosome including a 22-24 hours of workshop.
