In geography, a cape or cabo in Spanish, is a geographical feature formed by a land mass projecting into the sea; it receives this name especially when its influence on the flow of coastal currents is great, causing difficulties for navigation.

    Los Cabos is one of five municipalities in the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico, and is located in the southernmost point of the state. The administrative town is San Jose del Cabo and the largest city is Cabo San Lucas, 32 km away from San Jose.
